0.7mm 600g/m2 Brown Color Heavy Duty 1472 ℉ Fiberglass High Silica
High silica cloth is woven by high purity and high strength
continuous filament silica fibers.It is a kind of inorganic fiber
cloth with content of silica (SiO2) more than 96%. The melting
point of this 0.7mm high silica fabric is close to 1200℃. It is
able to bear continuous temperature below 800 degree Celsius and
most significantly, the instantaneous temperature of 1200℃. It is
an ideal high temperature materials for thermal insulation and heat
protection, as well as abrasion or chemical resistance.
Weave type of this high silica cloth is 8HS satin weave. In this
weave pattern 8 harness satin, there is a seven-by-one interfacing
where a weft yarn floats over seven warp yarns and under one. 8HS
weave is more stable than the common plain weave.
High silica fabric is flexible fabric especially developed to
replace asbestos fabric in welding and stress relieving work place
where protection against heat or molten metal sparks is needed.
They are easy to fabricate and can remain flexible after high
temperature exposure. Silica fabrics have many uses ranging from
welding to metal cutting applications.
